Design Classic – Bolz Brummkreisel (1913)

The Brumm’s spinning top is a toy created by the designer Lorenz Bolz in 1913. By pushing downward the knob at the top of the metallic spiral, it is possible to rotate the circular section of the object. During the rotation, thanks to a series of lateral holes, the toy is able to make sounds. The intensity of each sound depends on the number of rotation that are applied through the top mechanism.
