Font Specimen – Sushi Sans
BA Design Warm-Up – Foundation Course
2022
semester
Sushi Sans is based on the popular font Adobe Garamond. It was shaped out of the skeleton of this popular font and made into a sans-serif. The lines are without contrast and with square endings. The font has an overall round shape, which makes it modern and playful. Sushi Sans can be used in magazines, posters and flyers. It matches good with cool and playful designs that have colors and graphics in them.
To make the font, I created the letters in Illustrator and later used the plugin FontSelf for kerning and to create the Open Type Font file (OTF). In my font specimen I finally present how the font was made, its characteristics and how it looks like in use.
