Model making – French Press

My object for the family matters was a French press, an object to make coffee. I thought of possible improvements I could make to the object by playing around with the form and possible add ons, but without changing its purpose. The material I used in order to sketch the objects and create more detailed models was 1 mm white cardboard.

I decided to focus on a French press with an attached coffee container, through a mechanism the coffee can be poured directly into the glass. There is no spoon needed to transfer the grounded coffee into the glass before adding the boiling water.
