pieces, not masks

We are made of pieces, of layers.
With some of them we were born, some are created by ourselves. Often we even have to put some pieces on to fit the society, the same that rip some of them off.
We observe, we listen; what do they expect from us?
And us, what do we want to become?
Someone takes off pieces, someone adds pieces, everyone sees a different part of us…
Everyone sees what they want to see.
