The SOKOL spacesuit was developed in 1973 by the Russian company NPP Zvezda to protect space travelers in the case of depressurization in the cabin. The suit consists of an inner pressure sleeve made of Kapron and an outer sleeve made of white nylon. It is still worn today during take-off, landing and docking maneuvers on board the Soyuz spaceships.
