Aeon is a ring-shaped device that provides access to a personal archive and legacy of deceased relatives, friends and family members. Once unlocked, a digital copy of the legacy is made available through Aeon.
This is not a normal type of legacy, but rather a private legacy based on the idea of “what do I want to leave others about me and my life, what do I want to remember about my life and how do I want to be remembered”. And the idea that part of our life continues after we die and that our legacy is something we can continue to build on in the future.
The shape of the ring is inspired by the Ouroboros, the symbol of a snake ( or two dragons) eating its own tail. It represents the cycle of death and life and reminds us that our lives are finite and we should make the most of the time we have left. It is a tangible symbol of life and death that opens up a new dimension of possibilities for us. As Aeon provides access to the knowledge and experiences of the deceased, lessons can be learned from their lives and the cycle of life continues.

Aeon ist ein ringförmiges Gerät, das Zugriff auf ein persönliches Archiv und die Hinterlassenschaft verstorbener Angehörigen, Freunde und Familienmitglieder bietet. Wenn diese freigeschaltet ist, wird eine digitale Kopie der Hinterlassenschaft über Aeon zugänglich gemacht.
Hierbei handelt es sich nicht um eine normale Art von Vermächtnis, sondern eher um ein privates Vermächtnis, das auf der Idee beruht: “Was möchte ich anderen über mich und mein Leben hinterlassen, was möchte ich über mein Leben in Erinnerung behalten und wie möchte ich in Erinnerung bleiben”. Und dem Gedanken, dass ein Teil von unserem Leben auch nach unserem Tod weitergeht und dass unser Vermächtnis etwas ist, auf das wir in der Zukunft weiter aufbauen können.
Die Form des Rings ist vom Ouroboros inspiriert, dem Symbol einer Schlange ( oder zweier Drachen), die ihren eigenen Schwanz frisst. Er stellt den Kreislauf von Tod und Leben dar und erinnert uns daran, dass unser Leben endlich ist und wir die Zeit, die uns bleibt, optimal nutzen sollten. Es ist ein greifbares Symbol für Leben und Tod, das uns eine neue Dimension von Möglichkeiten eröffnet. Da Aeon Zugang zum Wissen und zu den Erfahrungen der Verstorbenen verschafft, kann aus deren Leben gelernt werden und und der Kreislauf des Lebens wird fortgesetzt.

Aeon è un dispositivo a forma di anello che consente di accedere a un archivio personale e all’eredità di parenti, amici e familiari defunti. Una volta sbloccata, una copia digitale dell’eredità viene resa disponibile attraverso Aeon.
Non si tratta di un tipo di eredità normale, ma piuttosto di un’eredità privata basata sull’idea di “cosa voglio lasciare agli altri di me e della mia vita, cosa voglio ricordare della mia vita e come voglio essere ricordato”. E l’idea che parte della nostra vita continui anche dopo la morte, che la nostra eredità sia qualcosa su cui possiamo continuare a costruire in futuro.
La forma dell’anello si ispira all’Uroboro, il simbolo di un serpente (o di due draghi) che si mangia la coda. Rappresenta il ciclo della morte e della vita e ci ricorda che le nostre vite sono limitate e che dobbiamo sfruttare al massimo il tempo che ci rimane. È un simbolo tangibile della vita e della morte che ci apre una nuova dimensione di possibilità. Poiché Aeon consente di accedere alle conoscenze e alle esperienze dei defunti, si possono trarre lezioni dalla loro vita e il ciclo della vita continua.
