Our task was to make a fairly freeform vase out of very thin sheets of aluminium. And I started playing around with the shapes in Rhino, changing their positions so that they interacted in interesting ways. Then I put all the shapes down, cut out the bodies and joined them together and put them inside each other. The dimensions are about 30 cm high, 20 cm long with extensions. The special thing about this vase is that it has two cylinders that go through the main volume, so you can also put flowers on the sides. Because of the slanted position, you can still fill it with water and it won’t leak through the holes.
