Always the favourite drink of James Bond, Agent 007 in the service of Her Majesty.
The origins of the name are debated. Some claim it is the name of the Italian bartender who first prepared it for John D. Rockefeller in New York in 1912. Others assume it comes from Jerry Thomas’ (known as the Professor) cocktail the Martinez (1850), and finally others say it is related to Martini & Rossi.
