Harry Thaler

Harry Thaler is a product designer whose work reinterprets fundamental design typologies by combining high-quality and traditional craftsmanship with clever and innovative forms. Trained as a goldsmith, which background has a strong effect on his design process, he received his MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art (2010) where he successfully developed Pressed Chair, now in production with Nils Holger Moormann. Among others Thaler collaborates with international companies such as Pulpo, Davide Groppi, Mubi and produces products and designs interiors for various public and private commissions. His work has been exhibited internationally and he has received numerous awards including the Monocle Global Retail Award (2014), the Interior Innovation Award, Cologne (2013), the Good Design Award, Chicago Athenaeum (2011) and the Conran Award (2010).
Harry is based in Merano (Italy) and works between his hometown and London. From 2016 to 2019 Harry was part of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Design and Art at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
