2022.1

My project deals with the subject of the butterfly effect, that is how every action has a consequence on the future and if you modify, even minimally, a decision you can arrive with a result totally different from the initial one. I dealt specifically with the incident of the incident of the ship stranded in the Suez Canal in March 2021, how this stranded ship caused serious consequences for global trade. It remained blocked for 7 days and many cargo ships were forced to remain stationary in the canal, thus delaying the delivery of several goods. My work mainly deals with how this event had consequences in the territory where I live, that is the Val di Non, a valley located in the north of Italy, in Trentino. I specifically analyzed the impact that event had on a hardware factory. I chose this factory because I was intrigued to discover how a nail made in Val di Non could have a connection to the Suez Canal. I tried to show through a short movie this misteroius connection betweeen a nail produced in this valley and a container ship getting stuck in the Suez Canal. I added an anonymous person in the video that tries to use a nail to connect and sdjust pieces that can not be connected, I used this as a metaphor for what I am trying to do as an artist, which is connect two worlds and show this connection in the same way I was able to see it.
