MEL

MEL è un cortometraggio fiction ambientato a Bolzano che tratta il tema dei riders di food delivery.

La trama vede come protagonista Melek Kaya, ragazza italo-turca di 23 anni. Appassionata di canto, Mel si trasferisce da Verona a Bolzano per studiare musica al conservatorio. A causa dell’alto prezzo dell’affitto dell’appartamento in cui vive, la ragazza è costretta ad abbandonare gli studi per intraprendere il lavoro di rider per la compagnia di food delivery “Quick. Qui con un click”. Per cercare di coltivare comunque la passione, Mel suona una volta a settimana al bar del quartiere.

Dopo l’ultimatum del proprietario di casa, intenzionato a sfrattarla in seguito al mancato pagamento di diversi mesi di affitto, il cortometraggio segue Mel nelle difficoltà che il lavoro del rider presenta e nella riscoperta di ciò che vuole essere veramente.

MEL is a fiction short film set in Bolzano that deals with the topic of food delivery riders.

The plot focuses on Melek Kaya, a 23-year-old Italian-Turkish girl. Passionate about singing, Mel moves from Verona to Bolzano to study music at the conservatory. Due to the high rent of the flat she lives in, she is forced to abandon her studies to take up a job as a rider for the food delivery company ‘Quick. Here with a click”. To try to cultivate her passion anyway, Mel plays once a week at the neighbourhood bar.

After the ultimatum of her landlord, who is intent on evicting her after failing to pay several months’ rent, the short film follows Mel through the struggles that the job of a rider presents and the self-discovery of what she really wants to be.

MEL ist ein fiktionaler Kurzfilm, der in Bozen spielt und sich mit dem Thema der Essenslieferanten beschäftigt.

Die Hauptrolle spielt Melek Kaya, eine 23-jährige Italienisch-Türkin. Aus Leidenschaft zum Gesang zieht Mel von Verona nach Bozen, um am Konservatorium Musik zu studieren. Wegen der hohen Miete für die Wohnung, in der sie lebt, ist sie gezwungen, ihr Studium abzubrechen und einen Job als Fahrerin für den Essenslieferdienst “Quick” anzunehmen. Hier mit einem Klick”. Um ihre Leidenschaft trotzdem zu auszuleben, spielt Mel einmal pro Woche in der Nachbarschaftsbar.

Nach dem Ultimatum ihres Vermieters, der sie aus dem Haus werfen will, nachdem sie mehrere Monatsmieten nicht gezahlt hat, begleitet der Kurzfilm Mel durch die Schwierigkeiten, die der Beruf des Lieferanten mit sich bringt, und die Wiederentdeckung dessen, was sie wirklich sein möchte.
