This Video è un video lavoro in loop di 5 minuti realizzato in computer grafica. Spesso facente uso dell’eccessività congenita ai software utilizzati per gli effetti visivi, il video si serve di tecniche di performance capture e di simulazioni traboccanti per guardare alla cavità, allo spazio interno dei modelli poligonali comprati, generati ed utilizzati nel lavoro. Assemblate su un bordone viscoso, su un ostinato composto da poche parole ripetute incessantemente per tutta la durata del video, le immagini che si susseguono senza soluzione di continuità sono parti eterogenee di un corpo più grande che vuole, come sottolineato dalla dichiarazione iniziale del video, legarsi e trapiantarsi all’interno dei corpi di chi guarda, o, meglio, di chi è sottoposto al dover guardare.

This Video è ninna nanna, filastrocca e maledizione, è un tarlo, un corpuscolo fatto di ridicole figure vuote rianimate che vengono sbattute, sgonfiate e annegate da liquidi laccati e luccicanti, sempre alla ricerca di una veracità mai del tutto conquistata.

This Video is a 5-minute long looping video work made with CGI animation. Often making use of the excessiveness congenital to software used for visual effects, the video makes use of performance capture techniques and overflowing simulations to look at the cavity, the inner space of the polygonal models bought, generated, and used in the work. Assembled on a viscous vocal drone, on an ostinato composed of a few words repeated incessantly throughout the duration of the video, the images that follow one another seamlessly are heterogeneous parts of a larger body that wants to, as emphasized by the video’s opening statement, bind and transplant itself within the bodies of the viewers, or, rather, of those subjected to having to watch.

This Video is a lullaby, a nursery rhyme, and a curse, it is an earworm, a corpuscle made up of ridiculous reanimated empty figures that are slammed, deflated, and drowned by lacquered and shimmering liquids, always in search of a never quite conquered veracity.

This Video ist eine 5-minütige Videoarbeit, die in Computergrafik erstellt wurde. Das Video nutzt oft die Übertreibung, die der für visuelle Effekte verwendeten Software eigen ist, und bedient sich der Techniken des Performance Capture und überbordender Simulationen, um den Hohlraum, den Innenraum der gekauften, generierten und in der Arbeit verwendeten polygonalen Modelle zu betrachten. Die Bilder, die in einem zähflüssigen Rhythmus, in einem Ostinato aus wenigen Worten, die sich während des gesamten Videos unaufhörlich wiederholen, zusammengesetzt sind, sind heterogene Teile eines größeren Körpers, der sich, wie im Eingangsstatement des Videos betont, in den Körpern der Betrachter, oder besser gesagt, derjenigen, die zusehen müssen, festsetzen und verpflanzen will.
This Video ist ein Wiegenlied, ein Kinderreim und ein Fluch, es ist ein Ohrwurm, ein Korpuskel aus lächerlichen, wiederbelebten leeren Figuren, die von lackierten und schimmernden Flüssigkeiten zugeschlagen, entleert und ertränkt werden, immer auf der Suche nach einer Wahrhaftigkeit, die nie ganz erobert wird.
