An exhibition towards ecological consciousness

A co-curated exhibition, with nine young artists from the region, that seeks to give landscape a voice through art. A dreamy manifesto supports and highlights the project’s vision. Our goal: Curating today for a transformative tomorrow.

Our project aims to visualize and communicate the concept of landscape through the powerful and versatile communication medium of art.

The co-designed exhibition titled “What do Landscapes dream of?” serves as a place of exchange, encounter, and reflection. In addition, we developed a manifesto, as a sustainable artifact of mediation for the region, to continue actively initiating an eco-social transformation. As climate change, resource scarcity, and species extinction become more of a concern, we as eco-social designers are creating new ways of sensitizing, communicating, and raising awareness about the multi-faceted and complex issue of landscape through curating the exhibition.

We challenge the status quo and offer an alternative perspective. Giving landscapes a right to self-determination, not to be exploited and destroyed, are dreams of a just future. How do we want to shape landscapes, and how can landscapes shape themselves? What do landscapes dream of?

The exhibition triggers feelings and emotions that touch society so that a more ecological and sustainable future is no longer a dream but a reality.
