semester
A performance by by Lucas Batliner, Maria Sole Gorni, Sara Kowitcki and Catia Lamari staged in Zans on the 6th December 2022, is an action lead to the appreciation of the moon and to the the embracement of the different meanings that it can assume for the observer. The performance starts at the entrance of the hut, where the three performers invite the audience to take part of the experience. Every performer lead one person at the time to the road,in silence. They stop when they find themselves facing the moon, every pair has settled at a little distance from the other. At this point, there is a sort of meditative moment, that last for about a minute: three different experiences are happening, depending on who the performer taking you is: a lullaby singing, an omming or just silence, broken down by short question to check about the person feelings regarding the moment. The choice of having different experiences under the moon is thought to convey a sense of the different perceptions of the moon and it was also meant to create a comfortable and peaceful environment, where the person can abandon himselves to contemplation. The moon has since always been associated with numerous meanings, feelings, legends, tradition: moon can represent solitude, but also growth, the connection with the sea …
The idea is to let the person participating to find his own most suiting correspondence.
At the end of the walk, everyone who has taken part comes back inside, people are now free to discuss about what they have witnessed.
