Aquabell – modern diving bell
BA Practice Based Course
2020
semester
Aquabell is a modern diving bell which brings divers up and down from the depths of the sea, either to do some work or just for exploratory purposes. It is lowered from a ship and is therefore managed from the surface. The bottom is open, allowing divers to enter and exit freely. Air tanks keep the air breathable. It is composed by a heavy iron base, a circular bench, a transparent dome (like that of exploration submarines), an external supporting structure, four internal lights and hooking on top.
I used Grasshopper to make the metal structure and the non-slip rubber pattern on the bench.
