Artistic Photography – Enveloped Habits

Enveloped Habits was born as an outlet and reference to what happened during the lockdown, to our psyche and our thoughts, in relation to a new routine to get used to for a while.

The photo collages revolve around subjects taken away from the university context, separated from their natural environment, distant among themselves, but not from their emotions, thoughts, fears and habits. Behind them, a polygonal window exposing desires, regrets, fears and disorders. A set of more or less important thoughts that we are almost ashamed to formulate when thinking about how upsetting is what happens “to those who have it worse”, who maybe don’t complain, because in some cases they can’t. However, even the most futile of complaints, the most superficial of thoughts, needs to be legitimately expressed sometimes, even though not necessarily through spoken words.
