Bergwinter in Tirol

The first book has been designed with a simple but structured layout. The text in the whole book is arranged in a single column, representing the flow of the information. The images are in relation to the text through different but ordered compositions in order to catch the readers attention without taking away the focus from the text. The previous illustrations of the book have been changed with vintage pictures to create a mood based on the time the text has been published.

The second “book” questions the sexist and even racist language of its content. The text has been reviewed by crossing the content considered offensive whilst adding some changes in size and boldness of the character in order to make specific text stand out. The text covers the whole poster, in order to effectively give an idea of the amount of the sexist content to the reader. The illustration of women* doing winter sports has been designed in contrast with the absence of women* in the original version.
