Male black crickets produce calls from their forewings. Wing
rubbing produces pure tones, while rapid oscillations produce
acoustic radiation. The fact that such a small insect can emit
sounds through vibrations inspired me to the object, keeping
sound and vibration as the basic principle. In this case, the
study focused on giving a new shape to the wings of the black
cricket.
