The process of creation for this performance started when Elisa showed us a drawing she did of herself and more specifically when she explained to us how she felt about it: it was an evening during the last year as she was waiting for dinner on her bed, when she decided to sketch the position of her body as she was seeing it in order to imprint that moment in her memory in the same way the pencil was imprinting the outline of her legs.

I wanted to dig deeper into this connection between the hic et nunc of an event and its permanent reachability for the person who experienced it when translated into some kind of external memory, so I had to enter the event and its memorization as if I were Elisa herself, in the moment when that memory was born.
The blanket evokes the bed on which she was sitting, and it relates the ephemerality of that moment to the permanence of the memory, by taking the place where the memory has been experienced into the permanent object of reminiscence.
