STANDARD – Starting from the example of the “putrella series” (Enzo Mari, 1958), we used semi-finished materials to create a collective experience. The focus of the whole semester was set on a group work. The network and relations of products and individuals shows how the sum is more than its parts.

C-set-0.1 is a coffee set designed to be shared, made of standard and semi-finished materials. Each cup is individual and yet do they create a complete set for a perfect shot of coffee!

Everyone who likes to drink coffee has for sure experienced and seen different type of coffee cups and sets, however, this one is for sure new to you! The combination of the ceramic cups, with the plexiglass as bottoms and saucer, which also serves as tray, and the touch of aluminium gives the whole set a unique appearance.
The production process of the set includes first the decreasing of the ceramic tubes, in order to make the upper part smaller and to comfortably drink from them. After that followed the closing of the tubes with the previously laser cut plastic cylinders (with the ‘standard’ logo). In order to make the cups food safe, I have applied a thin layer of food-grade epoxy resin inside of them.  As I wanted to produce as less waste as possible, I created the saucer out of the leftovers of the laser cut and connected them with aluminium pipes and screws.
