Caffeofuro is a simplified coffee “machine” stripped down to its essentials. The concept consists of either two angular wooden containers or glass containers with stainless steel bottoms, the upper one with an integrated stainless steel coffee filter. The ground coffee powder is inserted into the upper container and hot water is poured in that same container, leading to a maximized slow-brew effect. The coffee then flows through the filter into the lower container. The wooden or glass walls of each container are held together through dovetail joints CNC-cut to utmost precision and the stainless steel bottoms are inserted into the walls and held together through pressure from all sides. The structure has 6 cubic wooden extensions, which are also attached through a dovetail sliding joint, each with their specific function allowing an innovative, secure, and intimate handling of each part. Caffeofuro has a wooden lid with 4 holes to allow the lid to be placed in both directions and still allow pouring from both corners.
