During the corona virus period, I deeply analyzed the role of the smartphone.In the lockdown,phones and technological devices in general played a crucial part more than ever.One positive aspect was that we were able to be in contact with the rest of the world, on the other hand the addiction to the internet, mostelly the Social Networks addiction has grown more and more. Throughout this time, it was impossible for me to don’t notice the rise of web entertainment.My goal was to create something that encourage people to reflect and to don’t waste their time using the smartphone. Especially in a moment in which our daily and caotic life is stopped.At the same time I wanted to achieve this but wihout isolating the smartphone in order to don’t force the user.My cariphone is a new way to be in airplane mode.The phone is rotating thanks to the carillon and for this rotation it’s impossible to use the mobile. The user should turn the disk with the key in order to activate the music box. The sweet melody of the carillon stimulate the imagination and thought.In the quarantine period our freedom was restricted by rigid laws however” This Is Not The End” because we can reflect upon the world and decide what we want to change and we can say no to entertainment and influences of thought.
