“Ciò dimostra che qualcuno ha partecipato alla sepoltura” (This shows that someone participated in the burial, 2023) is a photographic work documenting the transformation of the landscape at lake Carezza in Trentino, due to storm Vaia, which in 2018, with gusts of wind and heavy rain, caused flood damage and wind crashes in northeastern Italy.
The images reveal downed tree trunks hosting rocks of various sizes, taking on a sculptural appearance. The stones could refer to a tradition that evokes the custom of marking a place of hierophany with them, as in Jewish cemeteries, making the trunks manifestations of the sacred. Hierophany, dolmen, or naive coincidence, the landscape and its new entities are gathered in this analytical investigation.
