CISQREO – Pressed Metal Tray

An exploration of form and material. CISQREO are metal trays made with a press machine. With minimal intervention, using basic shapes – CIrcle, SQuare, REctangle & Oval – in different combinations, to create a variety of products from one set of mold parts. The mold set is made of modular parts. The upper part is fixed but has a replaceable insert of different shapes, and there is a variety of lower parts of different shapes.

The work process included creating many types of molds and testing a range of materials, to achieve a smooth and agreeable tray shape.
Another mold option that I create includes a repeatable simple shape to manufacture another series of objects. The research process is yet to continue with other shapes and materials.
