This series of products is called Componibili, which are modular storage units designed by Italian italian architect and designer Anna Castelli Ferrieri.
The series debuted in 1967 at the Salone del Mobile di Milano. During this time period design started taking a turn and the need for functionality other than aesthetics rose.
Each storage unit is easily stackable without the need of nails so without having to modify the original product. The material of this product is ABS plastic, and the most popular colors of the product as it came out were very bright colors, the most iconic one being a vivid red. The storage units can be either empty or have a sliding opening without handles, but rather round shaped holes.
