The Triple Pleat Blouse is the very first denim jacket, designed in 1880 by denim legend Levi Strauss. Levi Strauss made his name in 1870 as the inventor of the first jeans, which he designed as durable and breathable overalls. The horizontal seams that hold the pleats could be opened to give the wearer more room.
