The worldly-known parfume molanus bottle 4711, designed by the distiller Peter Heinrich Molanus around 1820, counts till today as an iconic Design classic with its filigrane details and recognizable appearance. The clever hexagonal shape facilitated storage and transportation of the bottle. Another detail worth mentioning, are the round ornaments around the label, which signify some of the medals 4711 had won in past world exhibitions.
