The Scherenlampe is a lamp, designed in 1920 by the engineer Curt Fischer. It was the first lamp, that realizes the idea of dirigible light. The double joint and the slewable arm make it possible to spot the light to the right place. In contrast to the normal light from the ceiling, in this way shadows can be avoided. In times of Industrialization the robust lamp, made out of steel, fast became popular in factorys and also in the workshops of «Bauhaus» .
