Design Classic – Vipp Pedal bin (1939)

Holger Nielsen first developed the Vipp pedal bin as a functional waste bin for his wife’s hairdressing salon. The idea: a mechanism allowed the bin to be opened with a foot movement. Thanks to the customers of the hairdressing salon, who ordered the product for their husbands medical practices, it soon developed into a series model.
