Exploring Low-tech Illumination is a first study on light with low-tech outputs.
After a long period of research and experimentation (focusing on the basics of light design and physical principles), the project concludes with statement objects that want to start a debate, raise doubts, concerns and questions. Does low-tech have or will have a place in our future?
The objects presented, however, do not merely serve as statements, but maintain their function. A ‘candle torch’ and a ‘one-way-mirror chandelier’, both powered by candles.
