Font Specimen – Torii Serif

Torii was my first Serif font.

As stated by the name, the typeface takes inspiration from Japanese culture. The shape outline from the rooftops of the traditional Shinto religious wooden gates known as Torii, has been the source from which the forms of the beaks and serifs are based on.
