The assignment was to make a paper and a aluminium model of a vase in any shape or form.
I started by creating a 3 different 3D model of the vase on Rhino. After choosing one of the variation, I unrolled the surfaces of the model to get a 2D folding pattern. I printed the pattern on paper, used the form to cut out the same pieces out of the aluminium. Finally, I only had to fold the paper pieces as well as the aluminium pieces and tape everything together.
