GUIDA INVERNALE DELL’ALTO ADIGE – classic and experimental versions
BA Practice Based Course

semester
The classic version of “Guida Invernale dell’Alto Adige” is structured in a simple layout: the book is divided into sixteen different chapters, each denoted by a full-page title describing its contents. The content is arranged in a slightly off-centered grid to facilitate the readability of the text and its sub-chapters, with restored versions of the original book’s images to break the continuous information and illustrate the territory detailed in the book.
The experimental version of “Guida Invernale dell’Alto Adige” takes the shape of a topographic map, to expand on the territorial aspect of the original text. The altitudes reported on each of the original book’s sub-chapters are here utilized as a topographic line and text guide. The entirety of the territories explored in the original text is illustrated with its trail paths and outlined areas, to offer a compendium of the territory, shapes, and descriptions of the original book.
