HUGSY is a speculative project on the relationship between man and technology. The project addresses the following questions: What does “technology” mean for us today? How far is it part of our life? How much has it changed our relationship with reality?

The research field of the project is long-distance relationships: how does technology influence them?
To make up for the lack of physical contact in long-distance relationships, HUGSY was born: a pillow-hug that, thanks to technology, can talk and warm up.

The purpose of the short film is to analyze the consequences of using the pillow. The video tells the story of a girl who lives apart from her partner. Due to the distance, she starts having problems with him. She then undergoes a major change that begins when she meets HUGSY.
