Bevölkerung in Südtirol: Italiener ziehen eher in die Städte, Deutsche leben eher am Land
Popolazione in Alto Adige: gli italiani tendono a trasferirsi nelle città, I tedeschi tendono a vivere in campagna

The topic for my illustration is “Population in South Tyrol: Italians tend to move to the cities, Germans tend to live in the country”. And because most cities are located in the valleys, like Bolzano, and the countryside tends to be in the mountains, I implemented that into my illustration. The houses in the valley are inspired by the buildings in Bolzano and in the very back of the mountains you can see the dolomites. To point out the separation of Italians and Germans, I used the language, which is an important part of each others identities. The Germans are greeting each other in south tyrolean dialect, the Italians in Italian. The Illustration is made in Illustrator with the help of a Wacom graphic tablet.
