This is an illustration created for the book ” 50 year of South Tirolean autonomy statute”, written by Jutta Kustatscher and Wolfgang Mayer. It deals with the Social Housing program, which was initiated after the second Statute of Autonomy. Since then, it has been trying to combat the housing shortage in the country by building apartments for the socially weaker part of the population of South Tyrol. The “Tetris blocks” in my illustration are meant to reflect the ongoing challenges of just housing.
