On 11 November 1957, the SVP held a rally on the rock above Bolzano to protest against Minister Togni’s building plan and the Italian state’s failure to comply with the De Gasperi-Gruber Pact. I decided to recreate this moment with microphones and Silvus Magnago’s raised fist as he spoke in front of many people. I tried to represent struggle, revenge and power. The fist has always been a symbol of struggle/war, so I decided to use it to make protest and unity better understood. The main colour I used was red to represent power and revenge.
