This illustration aims for depicting the significance of the anti-Semitic laws of 1938/1939. With these laws the oppression that was dictated by the fascists over the jews became even more concrete. The drawing shows the head of a jew smashed on the ground by the foot of a fascist. The composition is purposely gory because it wants to underline the victim’s impossibility to react and the horror of a pain that can’t be excaped.
