On April 24th, 1921 Franz Innerhofer was playing with his two students of the musical band in Piazza delle Erbe when a group of fascists interrupted the event with a shooting. The professor saved one of the two children that day: Hans Theiner. He was only 9 years old, that day he was playing the drum and during the escape he lost his hat. They fled to the Stillendorf residence where Franz was killed by a gunshot.

This is the moment that I decided to represent in this illustration: the drum and the hat in the foreground as a symbol of the professor’s courage and behind the two figures running away followed by the crowd of fascists.
