Proporz: Kinder aus Mischehen & Zugewanderte fallen durch.
Rappresentanza proporzionale: i figli dei matrimoni misti e degli immigrati cadono.
The proportional representation in South Tyrol happened when the population whas divided almost perfectly in half between Germans and Italians, and people began to think a way to evenly distribute statal jobs (jobs given by the state, like teachers or bankers): people were given a survey to decide if they were german or italian, then had to take an exam that had to prove it. Then the jobs were divided between the two nationalities by the percentage emerged: for example, if 60% of South Tyrol was German, 60% of policemen was hired German. This seemed to be the right solution, but unfortunately it completely erased off the immigrants, the people from other nationalities and the sons and daughters of mixed families, which are the ones I depict in my illustration.
