The illustration represents a heart that on one side is carefully held together by a hand in which there are signatures with traditional Austrian names, but in the other side of the heart a black hole is created by the signatures traditionally Italian names. It is supposed to represent that the South Tyroleans, who feel more attached to Austria, want to protect the heart of South Tyrol, while the Italians want to destroy it and take it over for themselves.
