On the occasion of the anniversary 50 years of the second statute of autonomy in south tirol, I made an illustration on the topic prohibition of the German culture during the 1920s and 1930s. The  fascists tried to denationalise the people from south tirol not only by prohibiting them to speak or teach German but also by taking away their culture. The production of the German newspaper was stopped and German associations were dissolved.
