INSOUT digital exhibition
BA Art Studio
2022
semester
INSOUT is a 3D space modelled on Blender and uploaded on Mozilla Hubs. It stages a virtual exhibition where the works are exposed in the form of photo, video or 3D scan from real objects.
The creation of this space began with the modelling of the external structure, which was inspired by a work by «Beniamino Servino», which was then arranged and surrounded by an environment.
The whole scene illustrates a reflection on interior and exterior spaces, it questions the organisation of human habitation in relation to Nature.
The enclosed spaces with right angles that isolate us from the wild Nature and represent the habitable spaces of the modern human, the delimitation of the surface of our Earth made through industrial constructions and the notion of home are the main themes addressed by INSOUT.
INSOUT’s central interior space features my final work of the semester : the sculpture Abandoned Flats, which represents the final stage of a series of interlocking bounded spaces.
