Intun was born from the need to solve a common problem in small towns outside big metropolitan centers, namely the lack of public transport services and the respective stops.

It consists of a wooden structure designed to be very versatile. Its design is intended to have a different uses. The roof above is completely walkable, while underneath there are bicycle racks and benches. The chosen material, wood, not only guarantees construction efficiency but also is environmentally friendly.

The project, however, widens its aim also to the social sphere, trying to stimulate social life in small towns.
Nowadays, the lack of transport services is having a strong impact in small cities. By not ensuring an efficient transport service, many families and young students move to large metropolitan centers, contributing to the increasingly frequent phenomenon of depopulation of towns. Additionally, the lack of transports and stops creates a domino effect that leads to a general lack of services in small towns.

The aim of this infrastructure becomes then to encourage small towns to provide efficient public transport, giving new life and meaning to the simple stop. As a result, this infrastructure wants to incentivize the creation of a more efficient public transport network in the suburbs, adding extra value to the stop points and revitalizing small towns.

The concepts and functions of the project are embodied in the title Intun, which in the Friulian language means both “together” and “at the same time”. In fact, with this meeting point people can meet “together” and “at the same time” they can wait for the bus or public transport.
