ISSUE 03 – Taboo

“Taboo” is the third publication created by “Issue Collective”.
In this issue, we are discussing everything concerning taboos and bodies. How do these hinder us in our comfort, in our expression? How do Taboos discriminate? Can taboos also be a healthy boundary?

We invited artists, who either deal in their work or their self-discovery, or both, on the ideas of bodily restrictions and taboos. We asked questions about expression of identity, discrimination of living out these taboos, and we discovered the boundaries of gender.
The publication is made of two parts -words and visuals. The written part is bound together in a magazine format, while the images are printed separately. They are put together, the images simply lying in-between the pages, so that they can be taken out, put on a wall, exhibited, looked at. The idea was to create the possibility of an exhibition, inside of also a printed, readable matter. The spaces are changeable, so is the visibility. It is so-to-say, a traveling exhibition, in which every artist explains themselves in a detailed way.
