LAUT is a passive loudspeaker that was created with basic shapes in mind.
Made of interlocked reducers and a 90° L-pipe all glazed steel, usually used as chimney pieces were repurposed for the making of this passive speaker.
The shape allows the insertion of a smartphone in the upper hole of the L-pipe and the whole was supported with the use of two steel bars, pressed and folded in order to create two “legs”.
The recommended use, as during the picnic, is inserting a phone in each speaker and synchronise the sound in order to have double the sound power ♫
The whole project is an ode to standard semi-worked materials that have been given a new function.
