Manipulating Memories is a n ongoing photographic series, in which the single photographs have been manipulated following editing technique used for digital data editing.
Each chapter of the series presents a specific shortcut and editing technique: cntrl+c, cntrl+v, cntrl+x, shift+x, respectively presenting the actions of copying, censoring, and cropping.
These processes were reproduced in the darkroom without using any digital device but light and chemicals. In this way the digital and the analog dimensions merge together, investigating processes that are used daily to manipulate testimonies of memories (e.g. in socials and digital platforms), opening to new possibilities of storytelling and weaving new tales through photography.
