Melanocetus lamp is a protective helmet designed for adventure lovers. Taking its cue from the photophore antenna of the fish
melanocetus, the helmet is equipped with a lamp that allows illuminate dark areas for several metres. It can be used for hiking in the mountains but also in everyday life where visibility is not sufficient.Starting with primitive solid forms and modelling the shape through the Maya programme, it was possible to obtain much more complex and organic shapes.

Die Melanocetus-Lampe ist ein Schutzhelm, der für Abenteuerlustige entwickelt wurde. Nach dem Vorbild der Photophorenantenne des Fisches melanocetus, ist der Helm mit einer Lampe ausgestattet, die es ermöglicht
leuchten dunkle Bereiche über mehrere Meter aus. Es kann zum Wandern in den Bergen, aber auch im Alltag verwendet werden, wo die Sicht ist nicht ausreichend. Ausgehend von primitiven festen Formen und der Modellierung der Form durch das Maya-Programm war es möglich, viel komplexere und organische Formen zu erhalten.

Melanocetus lamp è un casco protettivo progettato per gli amanti delle avventure. Prendendo spunto dall’antenna di fotofori del pesce melanocetus, il casco è dotato di una lampada che consente di illuminare per svariati metri le zone buie. Esso può essere utilizzato per escursioni in montagna ma anche nella vita quotidiana in cui la visibilità non è sufficiente.Partendo da forme solide primitive e modellandone la forma attraverso il programma Maya è stato possibile ottenere delle forme molto più complesse ed organiche.
