We were asked to choose 2 musical intruments and combine them to create a new one.
I developed my instrument vertically, mixing an alpine horn with an erhu (a chinese violin). I wanted it to be elegant but also strong. I tried to really melt those object, as in the bottom where the last part of the horn becomes the sound box of the violin. I made all pieces removable, like the chords and the tuning pegs. To make it more realistic I added a stand for when no one’s playing it and also a bow.
