This assignment consisted in using the technique of joining two pieces together by joints using 1 millimeter cardboard. This assignment is divided in four different parts connected by the same object. The 1st part of this assignment is choosing something that can be hold, so I chose a mug which I thought it would have been interesting to make. To develop it I decided to do six parts so that the object could give the feeling of roundness like an actual mug.

The second part consisted in thinking of four possible designs to develop from the original mug modifying shape and handle.

My models have similarities to each other in shape, in fact three of my models have different kinds of handles but are the same in terms of shape, in- stead one of them don’t have any sort of handle at all, making it similar to Japanese mugs.

The third part consisted in choosing one of the previous models and do a more detailed model making some small changes. I chose the mug similar to a Japanese one.

This models needed to give the idea of how the object would feel at the touch and that’s why I tried to use different techniques.

The fourth part of this assignment consisted of realizing it as an actual model in 3D. Since I changed object from a mug to a mocha I only have the first simple model and the last 3D one.

This second model is the 3D and most complex one. I tried to make it empty on the inside and to give the best idea of how a mocha is made. I added some details that I think are really important to finalize the look of this object.
